Born at the tail end of the Baby Boom, Joni Hubred grew up in small towns and developed a curiosity about their secrets and histories.
After 15 years of writing for community newspapers, she joined patch.com, online journalism’s most spectacular shooting star. When AOL sold the company in 2014, she launched Farmington Voice, a news website, from her home in downtown Farmington, Michigan.
Joni also writes mystery and local history and slings cheese at The Cheese Lady Farmington. As time allows, she travels to see her children and grandchildren.
